Panda Lake

I'd only posted one image from our China trip last year so I thought it was time for another. This is Panda Lake in the Jiuzhaigou national park in the Szechuan Province. These mountains used to be full of Giant Pandas but there hasn't been a sighting in the wild here for many years. Scientists have been studying the elusive panda for decades and yet there is so much we still do not know about them. For example, they have stomachs designed for meat, not the long stomach system of grass-eaters, like cows. And yet, at some point, for reasons no one can fathom, they simply lost interest in meat. How curious. via
